Dancehall King, reggae star “Beenieman” has collaborated with St. Maarten’s calypso star “The Mighty Dow” for a new song, entitled “You Make Me So.” It was written by Dow and recorded in Beenieman’s studio in Kingston, Jamaica. Dow, whose real name is Isidore York, said the song will be released simultaneously with a music video of the tune which will be videotaped soon with St. Maarten as the backdrop. Dow said the song, which is a fusion of dancehall & reggae with a steelband melody, was written many years ago but he held on to it waiting for the right situation to record it. He said auditions will begin shortly to find the right persons for the various roles in the video and Beenieman will soon be arriving on the island to film his role.
