Continuously stepping up the gear but never losing the groove, perfectly describes Sint Maarten’s top party and club DJ known region-wide as The Cut Creator Dj Outkast. Born Chantry C. Hodge on the island of St Maarten, Dutch West Indies. At a very young age, Outkast started experimenting on some old turntables, a CD player and a cassette deck in his basement worked on perfecting his knowledge of music. By the time he was 16, Outkast started playing for birthday parties and other small events.
In June 2004, DJ Outkast traveled to The Netherlands for the first time, where he played at venues in Rotterdam, Utrecht, and Deventer, preparing him for the first-ever in first Green Synergy DJ Competition sponsored by international beer distributor Heineken. At age 20 and being the youngest in the competition, DJ Outkast won hands down.
As St Maarten’s Champion, DJ Outkast placed second in Antigua for the Caribbean finals of the Green Synergy Competition.
Since the Green Synergy experience, Cut Creator DJ Outkast has been making his mark throughout the Caribbean and Europe. He has been instrumental in promoting St. Maarten through his musical talent. Outkast’s quick mixes and energetic style of playing is the reason why his popularity has been on a rise with promoters and fans alike.
With a vast travel history in the past two years, Outkast has entertained party people in more than 12 countries and over 17 cities in his quest to make his name a household name wherever he plays.
