Lorenzo "Tha Sigma" Gomez

Date of Birth: 02-10-1987

Place of Birth: St. Maarten

Favorite music genres: Hip Hop, R & B

Brief Bio:
Born on St. Maarten in 1987, Tha Sigma started writing music when he learned how to write, and first performed at age six – with a Bible story for a kindergarten graduation.
In primary school, Tha Sigma did a mini-playback of various Michael Jackson songs for school festivities, and he performed an original titled “My Way”.
At St. Maarten Academy, Tha Sigma performed at Class Talent Shows, Talent Showdowns, Youth Extravaganzas and others competitions.
Tha Sigma left high school, and home, in 2005 and decided to do graphic design and radio commercials to support himself. That failed because it didn’t pay well on St. Maarten.
From 2004 to 2008, Tha Sigma recorded and released three well-received mixtapes and performed in more than 100 shows including a theatrical stage performance in the Clara Reyes production: His Story in the Company of Men, Boys, and HIV & Aids in December 2007.
Tha Sigma now performs at nightclubs in the hopes of building interest from the right person to help push his music.
Tha Sigma says describing his music is difficult, calling it rap blended with dancehall and R & B and basing it on writing using metaphors, and stories based on life experiences.
