St. Maarten independent film”Baby Needs Milk” is now available on DVD.
The 50-minute film was shot and edited on St. Maarten, and it features well-known acting talents Gerta Hodge and Thierry Gombs, as well as musician Ambassador Junior Lion and newcomer Sasha Blake.
It is a story about a couple going through a difficult relationship made even harder when a gangster offers the man (Junior Lion as “Spit”) a chance to make some quick money through a drug deal. It discusses relationships and love and desperation. It is a film about people, according to an article in The Daily Herald.

The idea came from director/editor Richard James, and Pedro Granger wrote the screenplay for the short film.
“I’m focusing on the technical aspect of film making and learning all the time,” James was quoted as saying. “It’s like a hobby for me. I like to be behind the scenes working working rather than being out front. I would say this is my first successful film.”

This St. Maarten film features ambassador Junior (Jr.) Lion, Sasha Bake, Thierry Gombs and Gerta Hodge among others.
Only about 2,000 DVDs is available for sale at $10. Funds will go toward the next film. You can purchase your copy at the following locations: The Daily Herald, D.Y. Entertainment in plaza 21-backstreet, Dvd express at Le grand Marche and other locations.
