Radio stations PJD2/PJD3 say they are ready for next week’s Golden Voice Song Festival, a talent competition showcasing young, local singers.

Twenty-five men and women will compete in the preliminary round at the St. Maarten Festival Village on Valentine’s Day, Sunday, February, 14. Only 13 will move on to the finals next month, organizers say. Contestants recorded the tracks for their performance in the weekend. Golden Voice organizers said Sunday their goal is to “promote the creativity and musical talent by our local singers.” The radio stations plan to continue introducing these local talents to the community this week with more inteviews. Organizers will also be giving away tickets to the event. Golden Voice is scheduled to start at 7:00pm.
