And the judges have decided: Virginnie Putten is St. Maarten’s face, and body, of Presidente Beer the rest of this year.
The lovely French Quarter native split the top awards at Friday’s Miss Presidente 2009 competition with first runner-up Renee Hazel.
But Virginnie, who impressed the judges in her one-piece swmsuit, and captured the audience’s vote for Miss Popularity, walked away with the big prize: a one-year poster girl contract with Presidente Beer, and over $2,000 in cash and prizes.
Renee finished with prizes for Best Body, Best Two-Piece Swimwear, and Best Creative Wear.
Virginnie got Best One-Piece Swimwear; her cheering section of guys and girls got her Miss Popularity; and the other girls named her Miss Amity.
Photographers named Alexandra Peterson Miss Photogenic.
The seven, sexy girls struted through Omni Sports Hall in four different swimsuits, showing off their charm and bodies for the title of Miss Presidente.
Organizers at Presidente and Sugary Treasures put the girls through their paces: contestants had to display their bodies in one and two-piece swimsuits, they had to get creative in turning Presidente T-Shirts into swimwear, and they had to prove they could look better than the other girls wearing the same, red swimsuit.
