Inspired by fireworks in a mix of colors and designs, Bacchanal Productions’ 2010 Explosion burst onto the Carnival scene Saturday.

Tackling’s husband, Ronald, announced this year might be Bacchanal Productions’ last making carnival costumes in St. Maarten Carnival.
“She said this year is my last year,” Ronnie Tackling said of his wife. “Explosion is a celebration of five years anniversary.”
“I’ve been here for five years,” Carol Tackling told the audience. “I don’t know how many more years I’ll be here.”
