One of St. Maarten’s hottest nightspots Bliss is coming back this Thursday.

It took the most ambient and relaxed nightclub on St. Maarten/St. Martin a little over one month, but Bliss is back.

And it’s out with the old and in with the new, as Bliss is switching up its look, its staff and its style for a triple-threat weekend of parties starting this Thursday, November 27.

Both Bliss and Sunset Beach Bar were demolished on October 17 when Hurricane Omar tore through the island, tearing away furniture, appliances, etc and flooding out the Caravanserai area that both hotspots call home.

Resident DJ Mister T is optimistic that Bliss fans will not be disappointed with the changes, and he says the “Bliss Experience” is one thing that will not be different.

Thierry “Mister T” Genet and The Cut Creator DJ Outkast are leading off the celebrations with the return of SXM Thursdays. Next up, on Friday: Mister T is back with Mister Perfect, featuring a warm up by DJ Bono. And finally, on Saturday: 2008 Heineken Green Synergy winner DJ Nachum “The Most Shady Franky, Baby” Frank is back spinning it out with another warm up by DJ Bono.

Mister T says the Bliss upgrade will feature dozens of changes include better lights, sound and no “Taste of Bliss”. “[We have] new concrete VIPs, new DJ booths, new lighting system, new sound system, new management, new team, new door people, new prices, (and) no more restaurant (a lounge instead),” Mister T. writes in an email to www.morebacchanal.com.
DJ Outkast is ready to deliver his last big SXM Thursdays show with a variety of music that is enough for any clubgoer to enjoy. “I will be alongside Mr. T. for all those House/Techno Lovers, and I will throw in as we like to say “My Lil Two Cents “,” Outkast tells www.morebacchanal.com. “ But knowing it is the reopening, I will maybe do something a a little special; something you’re not used to seeing.”
Outkast says that night owls should come out to experience the all-new Bliss. “I know some St. Maarten people have its doubts about the place because of its music selection, but … they have just remodeled and redone the entire club,” Outkast says. “So I encourage everyone to come out not only to party with us under the stars and by the ocean side.”
